If you haven’t heard, juicing and smoothies are all the rage right now in the trend. Several of the food blogs I follow already have mentioned either a juice fast or smoothie craze since the New Year. Why shouldn’t they? Juicing and smoothies are a great way to sneak in raw vegetables that are essential for a daily diet, add micro and micro nutrients and control the weight. We use to be very lonely with our liquid meal concept 5 years ago, when I started my first blog and got a blender – now its become a diet trend.

I wanted a smoothie that contained a some of raw vegetables, but hidden under a mask of sweet fruit taste. I also wanted to make smoothie that defiantly designed to shred the fat.  Green tea matcha powder and Russian dairy drink Kefir was my favorite pick. And here is why:

Men’s Health Editor in Chief David Zincenko recently touted a diary product called KEFIR as one of summer’s six essential flat belly foods. But unless you hail from Russia or really pay attention when perusing the yogurt aisle at the grocery store, chances are, you’ve never heard of this 2,000-year-old nutritional rock star. KEFIR is a creamy, yogurt-like smoothie that you can drink straight from the bottle or jazz up with fruit, granola, and other fun add-ins. The taste can be addictive, but it’s not necessarily sweet like the foil-lidded yogurt you’re used to. It’s actually tangier, more reminiscent of Greek yogurt.

MATCHA GREEN TEA is by far the most potent form of green tea available on the market today. Matcha green tea is approximately 10 to 15 times stronger than regular green tea. There are numerous studies emerging now that confirm the powerful effect that drinking green tea can have on losing weight. Due to the fact that Matcha green tea is a turbo-charged  version of regular green tea, the ability of matcha to facilitate weight loss is fantastic. When you consume a cup of matcha you literally consume approximately the same as 10 to 15 cups of regular green tea, making it the ideal product to facilitate natural, healthy weight loss in an effective way. Briefly, Matcha green tea helps to speed up up the metabolism causing the body to use up more calories, it helps to keep the body from storing calories as fat, and can help suppress the appetite.

I first experimented with frozen fruits and refrigerated raw vegetables. By using frozen fruit, there is no need for ice cubes which can water down the taste. A frozen banana is a great secret tip for a creamy, smooth texture. We usually buy a bulk of bananas at the store since we eat them a lot. Freezing bananas are a great alternative for keeping almost too-ripen bananas. Simply peel, wrap and freeze for future smoothies! Green Tea Matcha & Kefir Smoothie Meal for a Weight Loss or Cut Diet

1/5 banana (preferably frozen)
1 cup KEFIR
1 green apple, quartered
small handful of fresh spinach
1 tsp chia seeds
Place the banana into a blender and pulse until it starts to break down. Add in kefir, apple, spinach, stevia, matcha and blend until well combined and smooth. Quickly add in the chia seeds, pulse 2 times and serve immediately.
